A Five days trip to Leh Ladakh

Hi everyone today I am sharing with you guys my experience on my trip to Leh Ladakh.

In case you have any plan to visit this place the month of July and August are the best to visit. Also you need to make some checklist which should include your winter clothes, medicines, flask, sunglasses etc, also not to forget take some camphor with you, sniffing it will help you to overcome breathlessness which you can normally feel at higher altitudes.

DAY 1 OF OUR JOURNEY

We took a flight from our hometown Mangalore to Bangalore which was scheduled on 2nd Aug at 3.20 pm and we had our next flight to Delhi on the same day at 9 pm.

DAY 2 OF OUR JOURNEY

From New Delhi to Leh we had flight on the 3rd Aug at 8 am.We reached Leh at around 8 am.

Ladakh is a most beautiful land of mountains. The very first view as you are about to land excites you and the image below is how you can see Leh from flight as you land.

We had already reserved our stayed at the Yangphel guest house at Leh.It was a cool and cozy place with beautiful garden. The people incharge and the workers were very friendly. We has lovely aloo parathas for breakfast (Potato stuffed in Indian bread )along with Tea.

The garden had beautiful Rose plant and different flowering plants and Apricot trees.

The first place that we visited on this day was Tibetian Market which is Tibetian Refugee sale of Art and Craft in the streets of leh at around 5 pm which has display of art and craft work as well as Tibetan shawls I purchases some handicrafts and shawls from here. However it is advisable to rest for 1 full day before you begin to explore the places to get adjusted to the higher altitudes and get your breath control as you know at higher altitudes the oxygen levels are less and also its very important to get used to such climate. We had to step out to bring sim cards to call our families as our sim cards will not work in other states. In the streets we came across one calm Monestory .we also went to a coffee shope called Coffee Cave and had some coffee and cookies. We roamed around the streets and at around 8 pm visited a hotel named German Bakery and had some lovely sizzlers. You can find videos on my IG TV my Insta handle is Makeupandstuffs26

THE HALL OF FAME :

Next day we began our official tour.We visited the hall of fame museum which is dedicated to our Indian soldiers and a memorandum of the once who fought for our country in Kargil war

It has a beautiful display of cultures and traditions of Leh Ladakh as well as various tools, armor used in wars over ages till modern days.

THE SPITUK GONPA MONESTRY :

We then went to the Spituk monestory which was a peaceful and calm place. The discription below gives a brief history behind this place.

MAGNETIC HILL AND PATTAR SABH GURU DWAR :

The Magnetic hill as the name indicates the road behaves Magnetic in nature such that the cars can drive backways on its own while moving along this path due to ,magnetic attraction which is a speciality of this place. There are also motor bikes available here to hire.

The pattar Sahab is a Guru Dwara or Sikh temple. It is another beautiful and peaceful place. As you enter the Guru Dhwar you feel relaxed and spiritual vibes surround you.

This day we also visited Sangam which is a place where two rivers meet which had beautiful scenery.

LADHAKH SHANTI STUPA : At last we visited the Shanthi stupa as it was very close to our guest house.

DAY 4 VISITED THE PANGONG LAKE :

Most exciting place is the Pangong lake although the path used is very dangerous journey along the mountains lead by specialized drivers. On the way you get to see beautiful view of streams and mountains. Also we were lucky to spot MEER CAT.

This place is a huge tourist attraction and also many movies are shot here.Bollywood movie 3 Idiots was also shot here.

You have a chance to try archery here , also you can wear Ladhaki dress, take pictures and also pose on this scooty as I did.

You can also find Yaks to pose.
