COLOUR POP SUPER SHOCK EYE SHADOWS

Hi,

Today I would like to review on my most favorite colour pop eye shadows.

Colour pop is an US based company and all products are produced in the US. Colour pop is well known for their eye shadows, blushes and lippie sticks as well as bronzers and highlighter shades. They have newly launched Glitter gel, Lippie Tints and Lippie scrub as well.

Colour pop eye shadows:

The colour pop eye shadows are available as single super shock eye shadow shades,as well as shadow palette like california love, Sweet talk.Shadow kits like Study Buddy,Double Rainbow,Pretty Fly, Foursome collection consisting of a set of four eye shadows in a individual package which includes collections like Zingara, Where the light is, Twinkling Lights Eyes. .I would like to say something about their fabulous single eye shadows. The shades I would like to review here are : Get Lucky, LA LA, Nillionare,3 and Krinkle. These are not new launches but are still fantastic.

Packaging of the eye shadows:

The packaging consists of small plastic containers with transparent ,twistable lid on which the name colour pop is written. The containers are air tight and should be recapped immediately after use .These can dry very quickly therefore have to be kept air tight. Each container holds 1 oz of product in them.

Application and Pigmentation:

These Eyeshadows have a variety of textures and shades and they have great pigmentation. There are eyeshadows from matt, shimmery to metallic finish. Some of these eyeshadows also have duo- chromatic finish and are very creamy on application. These are ideal to be applied using fingers or synthetic brush.

From the colour pop website we get to know about the application of these eyeshadows which says as follows :

For maximum coverage: Use fingertip and tap shadow onto eye lid. A flat, fine tip synthetic brush will work fabulously as well and is actually better for a more detailed application close to the lash line. However, your fingertips make for the most intense application.

To blend: Use a fluffy brush that has good movement, dip tip of the brush into the shadow and blend with a “wind shield wiper” movement throughout the crease of the eye. This will make your shadow softer and more diffused (like a total pro). When finished, close that sucker up tight! Don’t leave the jar opened for long periods of time, you may lose some of the magic that makes the Super Shock Shadow so amazzzing.

The shade 'Get Lucky'- This is a beautiful golden shade which would compliment Indian skin tone as well as can go well with ethnic outfits. It is highly pigmented and smooth on application and gives a metallic finish.I absolutely adore this shade.

The product claims :Intense ultra-metallic, liquid-like true gold, this shade is so on-point you are sure to “get lucky” *ahem*.

The Shade -LA LA:

The shade LA LA is a most beautiful a true rose gold in an Ultra Metallic Finish looks like a coppery shade on brown skin tones which is also highly pigmented and glides smoothly. One more shade that can be ideal for Indian skin tone and can do along with Ethnic wear.

The shade - 'Nillionare'

Nillionare is a beautiful shade that could be used to highlight the inner corners of the eyes. Its a bronzy shade with golden shimmers and has a metallic finish.I was inspired by an Indian You tuber to get my hands on this perticular shade.

Product claims :You’ll be looking rich in this warm bronze with tons of gold and multi coloured glitter in a Metallic finish.

The Shade - 3:

This is a cool toned brown shimmery metallic finish shade with silver and blue speckles which gets reflected when light falls on.

Product claims :Cool-toned starlit bronze with a flash of silvery and multi-coloured glitter – because sometimes gold and silver are just too mainstream.

The Shade- Krinkle:

This is a Bluish-grey shade which gives a shimmery metallic finish and has silver speckles.

Product claim:A smoky blue loaded with silver and gold glitter in a metallic finish. When you put it on, it’s a lot like that feeling you get on Christmas morning.

All these eyeshadows I have tried so far are of metallic and shimmery.

Pros :

1) These are highly pigmented and long lasting eyeshadows.

2)The packaging is also travel friendly.

3) We get great variety of single eyeshadows from metallic finish, satin finish or matt finish.

4) They have a very smooth and creamy consistency.

5) They are quite budget friendly products.

Cons :

1) They tend to get dried up if the lid is not closed immediately.

2) Few shades like Krinkle are chalky when applied.

Price and Availablity :

These are available on the colour pop website for $4.50 the shade la la is available in amazon website for $12
